Abstract
A novel compact double T‐shaped slot antenna is introduced to achieve a dual‐frequency for radio frequency identification (RFID) applications. The designed antenna with an overall dimension of only 33.5 × 12.5 mm^2^ is low in profile and can operate simultaneously at 2.45 and 5.8 GHz bands. Also, good omnidirectional radiation patterns have been obtained. Its properties make the antenna not only suitable for RFID tags but also for WLAN applications. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
