β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Copper microstrip filters using spiral resonators, with a centre frequency of about 1 GHz and bandwidths of 5% and 16%, are designed and tested. Their advantages over parallelβcoupled filters are smaller size and more convenient shape. The spirals alleviate deterioration in simulation accuracy, overβetch tolerance, and losses due to the size reduction. Β© 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this letter, a dualβband bandpass filter is proposed by consisting of spiralβshaped microstrip resonators. Meanwhile, a skewβsymmetric tapped feed structure is applied to introduce two transmission zeros on both sides of individual passbands, and thereby improve the filter selectivit
