β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
A compact broadband circularly polarized (CP) microstrip antenna is proposed, in which a square patch printed on the dielectric substrate is fed by a Wilkinson power divider through two orthogonal Hβshaped slots. Comparing with the conventional broadband CP antenna with an air or foam layer, the size of this antenna is reduced significantly and its fabrication is easier. The 10 dB return loss bandwidth of 45.9% and 2 dB axialβratio CP bandwidth of 17% were measured. Β© 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract Compact circularly polarized single feed microstrip antenna using fractal curve as boundary is presented. It is shown that by using fractal curve as boundary to the square patch the size can be reduced by more than 50% without much reduction in gain of the antenna. The antenna gives a g
