Abstract
In this article, a compact and wideband planar inverted‐F antenna is introduced.The bandwidths for s11 < −10 dB are up to 790 MHz (a fractional bandwidth of 38.2%) with bending a part of metal radiator down and notching a rectangle slot. Measured results show that the designed antenna can meet the requirements of the DCS/PCS/UMTS/WLAN communication system. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
