✦ Synopsis
Abstract
An overview of the COMPACT method for evaluating potential toxicity mediated by cytochrome P450 enzymes is presented. Particular aspects of P450s are described, together with details of QSARs and homology modelling of mammalian P450s associated with foreign compound metabolism.

## Abstract We determined the blood concentrations of caffeine (CA) and its three primary dimethylxanthine metabolites: theobromine (TB), paraxanthine (PX), and theophylline (TP), and trimethadione (TMO) and its demethylated metabolite dimethadione (DMO) after the simultaneous administration of CA
## Abstract Cytochrome P450 3A4 metabolizes a majority of administered therapeutic agents in the human liver. We recently reported the synthesis of a new inhibitor, **1**, whose binding to and displacement from the active site of CYP 3A4 can be conveniently followed by the associated changes in flu
To establish a prediction system for drug-induced gynecomastia in clinical fields, a model reaction system was developed to explain numerically this side effect. The principle is based on the assumption that 50% inhibition concentration (IC 50 ) of drugs on the in vitro metabolism of estradiol (E2)
