## Abstract Objectives: To explore the lived experiences of patients with severe osteoarthritis (OA) of the hip or knee joint while awaiting joint replacement surgery. Methods: An exploratory qualitative approach using phenomenology was adopted for the purpose of the study. Unstructured interviews
