✦ Synopsis

After reading the review and considering its strengths and weaknesses, it is reasonable to ask if it is credible, valid or useful. In my opinion, it is all three. The review represents an excellent attempt to distill information from the widely divergent studies on the topic. No single study can answer all questions. The literature is not organized in helpful ways. This review does an excellent job of reducing data to arrive at a well-founded conclusion. The authors may have been wise not to include pain assessment in this review because it is so difficult. Perhaps that should be another review. The other 'negatives' just reflect the difficulty in doing this kind of review.

So, I think the review is valid, the conclusions credible and will help provide useful evidence to support the use of NSAIDs after paediatric tonsillectomy.
