The molecular constants of the previously unobserved 5 and \(6^{\prime} \Sigma_{g}^{+}\)states of \(K_{2}\) are determined and the potential curves are constructed using the Rydberg-Klein-Rees (RKR) method. The absolute vibrational numbering of the \(5^{\prime} \Sigma_{8}^{+}\)state is obtained by c
