✦ Synopsis
The paper presents the results of finite-element computations of the creep transient behavior of various fracture mechanics specimens with stationary cracks under application of a step load. The material is modeled as being capable of instantaneous elastic deformation and creep deformation according to Norton's law. Special attention is paid to the evolution of the amplitude of the crack tip singular field.
