Idea to watch normal development. Additionally, the repeated copies of small RNAs coupled with, in some cases, high expression levels, may titrate the local availability of proteins required for snoRNA and miRNA processing. Conversely, a better understanding of the evolutionary history of these unique small RNAs may reveal more about their manifold potential functions.
