The effectiveness of combination antibiotic therapy with cephalothin, carbenicillin, and gentamicin was evaluated in febrile adults with acute nonlymphocytic leukemia undergoing aggressive induction chemotherapy. In all patients, upbn developing a temperature of 101F, cultures were obtained and the
