Clariant and Hangzhou Baihe Chemicals opened an azo pigments plant at Hangzhou (Zhejiang province) in June 2006. Now the partners intend to expand by adding a plant for making quinacridone pigments, which will be marketed for use in architectural, automotive and industrial paints, printing inks and plastics.
