✦ Synopsis
The rate constants for electronic quenching of PH (A 'II, U= 0) with a thermally equilibrated population at 296 k 3 and 4 I5 k K were measured for the collision partners H,O, NH,, C02, CO, NzO, 02, N2, H,, and C*H,. In all cases the rate constant decreases with increasing temperature. A similarity between the rates of quenching of PH (A) and NH (A) has been found.
