The formation of negative ions in electron transfer reactions between hyperthermal alkali atoms (Na, K) and WFe has been studied in the energy range O-30 eV c-m. Relative cross sections and translational energy thresholds for ion pair formation have been measured, from-which the following electron a

โฆ Synopsis
Ionization processes in colIisions of thaIhum bromide and aerodynamicaIIy accelerated xenon and krypton have been studied by the crossed-beam method. Absolute cross sectjons for positive ion production were measured. Mass spectrometric analysis revealed that the positively charged products consisted of 'PI+. TIXe* (no TIKrf was observed) and TlzBr+, whose relative yieIds varied with the relative energies of the collidants.
* Work was performed under the atqices of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission.
