โœฆ Synopsis

Relative rate constants for collision-induced rotational transitions of 6LiH, 7 Li* and %i7Li* have been measured. They exhibit large asymmetries &(+&it) -&(-AT) which depend .&ongly on the coilision partner, even as regards sign. Collision-induced vibrational de-excitation up to AL" -4 with a simultaneous large change in J' was also observed.

The information theoretic approach is used to analyse a series of quantum cross sections for the &-excitation of the n = 1 level of Hz and D2 by collisions with Li' and He. New experimental time-of-flight distributions arc reported for Lith'z and Li+-CO at two center-of-mass enc&s of about 8 and 16 eV and large scattering anples elab =Z 120ยฐ. The Li+--h'z spectra sho\v two widely spaced maxima, whereas the Li+-CO spectra show two and sometimes three maxima. The results
