Positive ion collision-induced dissociation (CID) mass spectra of oligonucleotides provide qualitatively similar fragmentation patterns to CID mass spectra generated from negative ion precursors. The major sequence ion series w and a-base are still abundant enough to be useful for the determination

β¦ Synopsis
As the Γrst step in the development of a liquid chromatographic/tandem mass spectrometric method for the quantitation of cocaine, its metabolites and its pyrolytic degradation products from biological matrices, the collisioninduced dissociation of the protonated and selected deuterium-labeled species was studied. The fragment ions generated from the CID mass spectra were assigned and fragmentation mechanisms were proposed.

Positive-ion electron ionization (EI), methane chemical ionization (CI) and collision-induced dissociation (CID) mass spectra are reported for a series of pyridone-imines generated from 1-alkyl substituted aminopyridinium salts in a direct-probe inlet. A number of star-burst type tetranuclear complexes denoted by [ Met(II)L,B] ,RuX, (Met = Ru, 0s) were examined by positive electrospray (ES) mass spectrometry, where L is bpy (2,2'-bipyridine) or btfmb (44'bis(trifluoromethyl)-2,2'-bipyridine), bridging ligand B is l,l'-dimethyl-2,2'-bis(2"-pyridy1)
A mass spectrometric method based on the combined use of fast atom bombardment collisionally-induced dissociation (CID) and tandem mass spectrometry has been used for the structural characterization of free and conjugated flavone and flavonol aglycones. Low-energy CID spectra of the [M + H] + (or Y
