✦ Synopsis

An an;ilytlc solution for the translational two-body contribution to the quadrupole-induced dipole correlation function IS presented. it allows one to evaluate the far-infrared co'tion-induced absorption spectra of molecular systems, composed of quay-~heri~ molecules at low density from the knowledge of few parameters derived from different experiments The comparison with a translational correlation function exaacted from the absorption spectrum of gaseous Nz, under the sme approsimations, is also discussed-

## Abstract In this work different tools for accurate prediction of acid gas absorption are used. At first, simulation of reactive absorption is carried out using the RATEFRAC module of Aspen Plus, which is tested against pilot plant data. The limitations and disadvantages of this module are presen

An approximate solution for the simultaneous absorption and reaction of two gases in a liquid has been presented based on the film theory, assuming a nonlinear (exponential) profile for the concentration of each of the gaseous species in the film. The solution obtained has been compared with the num

This communication points out that an exponential spectial shape unnot be considered as a aiterion for coLI.ision induced scattering. Detailed temperature study of the spectral profk is needed for elucidating the mechanism. Scattering from liquid glycerol (297-440Β°K) is used as an illustration.
