โœฆ Synopsis

Analysis of the correlations between the SSS and the MMPI scales in a group of 110 alcoholic males revealed that sensation-seeking was negatively related to Depression, Repression, and Social Introversion, and positively related to Ego Strength. No relationship was found between alcoholism per se and sensationseeking. The results were interpreted as supporting the construct validity of the SSS and as suggesting that sensation-seeking is a "healthy" personality characteristic.
