Description of the average orientation of non-rigid molecules in anisotroplc fluids is non-trivial. The assumption that molecuku orientation is independent of conformation is discussed. For such a case. the Euler angles relatirs each conformation to the common order-tensor axes must still be known.

A new method of studying orientational correlations in liquids of linear molecules is presented and applied to Nz, Fl, Cl,, Br,, Is, CO\* and C& near their triple points. The method is based on the subdivision of the total angular space of a pair of molecules into a complete set of disjoint classes
Cross-correlated relaxation caused by the interference of nuclear dipole-dipole interaction and the Curie spin relaxation (DD-CSR cross relaxation) is generalized to treat the case of anisotropic magnetic susceptibility, including the important case where the latter originates from zero-field splitt
