β¦ Synopsis
We obtained EABR recordings in all 12 electrodes at 3 weeks following implantation. As three electrodes causing facial twitching were excluded from his map, nine electrodes were active in his double electrode map using ACE strategy.
His implant-aided sound field threshold was 30 dB HL. His speech-perception ability measured by the ESPT (Early Speech Perception Test), PBK (Phonetically Balanced Kindergarten) test and Common Phrases test has shown continuous improvement. The score of the ESPT was 100% on pattern perception, 83% on spondee identification and 67% on monosyllabic word identification; the PBK score was 39%; and the Common Phrases score was 35% at two years after implantation.
