✦ Synopsis
Low-temperature air autoxidation of SRC in quinoline followed by anaerobic thermolysis yields as much as 30% of low-molecular-might (<210) compounds. Preliminary autoxidation of the quinolinesoluble portion of a bituminous coal gave a significant yield of similar low-molecular-weight compounds. These are highly aromatic.
