I-ull close coupling calculation\ of magnetic transitions m 11~: + 112 collision\ arc rcportcd. The results arc an.llyrcd u\mp, the uncoupled space frame approach of Kouri and Shimom. This enables one to study the m:qnetic trantitlon T-matnccs as a function of orbital angular momentum quantum number 1. The results for transitions which .:rc cl.lstlc m rotor st.itc i arc found to be dominated by I=-conserving transitlons. 1 hose which are melastlc in j arc dominated by jpxnsaving trmsitions for very low 1 hut at h@ler 1 values, the nonj,-conserving tr,rnsit~onr dommstc. 'Ihe result\ for Ilu + 142 are conslctent with the ruccut studios of Shimoni and Kouri of the coupled states npprouirnntion. * R.A.
