โœฆ Synopsis

Leaks on camera

A new system can image the flow of oil within an operating engine, or identify internal seals and gaskets and follow leakages and flows in hydraulic components.

Cooled CCD camera systems from scientific imaging specialist, AstroCam Ltd have been incorporated in what is claimed to be the first commercially available neutron radiography system. The neutron radiography system has been jointly developed by Rolls Royce and Associates Ltd and Oxford Instruments plc.
