## Abstract ## Background. We investigated the incremental diagnostic value of short tau inversion recovery (STIR) MRI to detect cervical nodal metastases in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. ## Methods. Thirty‐six patients with cervical nodal metastases underwent MRI preceding neck dissect
