✦ Synopsis

The CLEO Collaboration stands on the brink of making major contributions in the area of &CD. With the advent of the high-luminosity asymmetric B-factories at SLAC and KEK, CLEO has ceased taking data at the T(4S) and begun a program that will first take large data sets at the three bound states of bE and then move to lower energies to conduct precision studies D and D, mesons and to probe in depth the radiative decays of the J/T). These new measurements will confront QCD and, in particular, match the precision of Lattice predictions. This "certification" of the Lattice techniques will in turn maximize the impact of the precision experimental results from SLAC and KEK.
