Aroma Performance operations to a chemical park at Zhenjiang, which is on course for completion in mid-2011. Rhodia has already spent €20 M on the relocation, and is taking advantage of the move to introduce production units for a defoamer and a speciality polymer and raise output for the three operations being transferred -an aroma chemical unit, a sulfonation facility and a formulation plant. The final capacity for surfactants at the Zhengjiang site will be 75,000 tonnes/y after the phased start-up in 1H 2011 of the remaining facilities. Of the approximately €250 M the company invested in China in 2009, €100 M was spent in expansion or new capacity.
