We present the nucleotide sequence of a 5207-bp-long region of the mitochondrial genome of the dermatophyte Trichophyton rubrum. This represents about 1/5th of the total genome and extends a previous study. From the 5' end of the present sequence, the order of genes is as follows: the end of the ND4
