โœฆ Synopsis

Blake, Perry, and Michelle were picked up by a machine called The Maze to travel through time and space...

...in an elevator.

Michelle thinks she had too much to drink when an elevator opens in her apartment, but after crawling inside, she finds herself in a machine called The Maze and in the company of Blake and Perry, both of whom claim to have also been picked up in the same manner as her months before she arrived.

With Perry, she follows Blake into an elevator that opens into a deserted city on a planet far from Earth thousands of years in the future. Blake, who leads the trio with a consciousness known as The Guide, discovers this town's inhabitants can only be seen when they hold completely still, and they all send a unified message: Get out!

Captured on the edge of town by the local military led by General Halloway, they discover the town is quarantined due to an accident with a new technology that was supposed to take the town out of phase to protect it. Now, everyone in the town is trapped, and no one can reach the phase generator to shut it down without phasing out and getting trapped as well. Furthermore, Halloway is not only uninterested in freeing the town, he shows them its usefulness to him and its danger by forcing people within its boundaries to get them out of his way.

With the assistance from a local movement dedicated to saving the city and a reluctant scientist who helped build the machine, the traveling trio must find a way to circumvent the general's defenses, shut down the shield, and free the families of those he is helping. Failure will not only result in a continued purgatory for those trapped, but Blake, Perry, Michelle, and those that helped them could be sacrificed to this living death as well.
