The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Japanese the CD-ROM edition of the Journal Citation Reports journals in bibliometric parameters such as impact fac-(JCR) for the 1994 volume of the Science Citation Index tors (IFs), mean IFs from citing and cited journals, and (SCI), which indexed about 3400 science journals that self-citing and self-cited rates.
