Abstract

Durch Oxydation von 3,4‐Dimethyl‐o‐benzochinon mit Phtalpersäure wurde cis, cis‐β,β′‐Dimethylmuconsäureanhydrid erhalten, das bei der Verseifung mit Wasser in eine Lactoncarbonsäure, das γ‐Carboxymethyl‐β,γ‐dimethyl‐Δ^α^‐butenolid, übergeht. Es werden weitere Derivate dieser Lactonacarbonsäure beschrieben.
