## Purpose: In order to evaluate the relationship between cachectin/tumor necrosis factor (tnf) and cachexia in the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (aids), we studied the serum levels of endogenous cachectin/tnf in subjects with human immunodeficiency virus (hiv) infection. ## Patients and meth
