## Abstract ## BACKGROUND The ubiquitin‐proteasome pathway has been implicated in the pathogenesis of many hematologic malignancies. ## METHODS The authors measured proteasome peptidase activity levels in plasma samples from 225 patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and correlated the
