## Abstract Vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectroscopy was used to investigate the solution conformations of cyclosporins A, C, D, G, and H in CDCl~3~, in the amide I and NH/OH‐stretching regions, and their corresponding magnesium complexes in CD~3~CN, in the amide I region. VCD spectra are

Abstract
Optical properties in different solvents of gramicidin‐bis (salicylaldimine) Cu(II) and (5‐I‐salicyladimine) Cu(II) chelates are intercepted in terms of their molecular structure. A molecular model for the inversion of Contton effects in two different classes of solvents is proposed. This explanation is supported by the study of optical properties of model compounds.

3-(S)-(1-phenylethyl)-5-methyl-and 5-phenyl-rhodanine have been studied by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The crystals of the 5-methyl compound were shown to contain equal amounts of the 5-(R) and 5-(S) diastereomers, while the crystals of the 5-phenyl compound only contain the 5-(S) diastere
## Abstract The vacuum‐ultraviolet circular dichroism (VUCD) of chondroitin and chontroitin‐6‐sulfate has been measured to 160 nm for films and to 170 nm for D~2~O solutions. The pD‐dependent dichroic behavior of these glycosaminoglycans in D~2~O is similar above 200 nm and is in agreement with pre
