✦ Synopsis

Eighty-eight participants attended the meeting from 22 countries.

The opening ceremony featured a violinist and pianist serenading the participants with peacefully beautiful classical music. This was a refreshing way to begin the conference. The room was flanked with the exquisitely designed poster featuring a statue of Frederic Chopin, the great pianist and composer, who grew up in Warsaw. The day featured four oral paper presentation sessions and a poster session at the end of the day. Summaries for most but not all papers will be given. My apologies to those authors whose papers are not summarized. It just means that notes were not adequate to represent those papers well in this summary.
