✦ Synopsis
A procedure has been developed for the separation and identification of nucleotides by anion-exchange chromatography. The method includes column chromatography on PEI-cellulose with an unbuffered exponential salt gradient. This easily handled procedure gives a high degree of resolution and reproducibility and demands no personal attendance during elution. Application of the method is demonstrated with a mouse liver extract and extracts of yeast cells (Saccltarowtyces cere~'i.viae).
