โœฆ Synopsis

High-performance liquid chronatography (HPLC) measurements on crystalline and glassy (\mathrm{Na}{4} \mathrm{NbP}{3} \mathrm{O}{2}) prove that the crystalline phase is a pyrophosphate and that the glassy material contains a distribution of phosphate anions with anions up to five (\mathrm{PO}{4}) tetrahedra in length. Powder (\mathrm{X})-ray diffraction data for a new trimetaphosphate crystalline phase with the composition (\mathrm{Na}{3} \mathrm{NbP}{3} \mathrm{O}_{x}) are also reported. ## Abstract An ion chromatographic procedure (IC) with chemical suppression is described for the simultaneous determination of the anions Cl^โˆ’^, NO, HPO and SO at ppm levels in vinegar samples. The moderately strong eluent composed of NaHCO~3~/Na~2~CO~3~ was chosen and sample pretreatment was requi

The temperature dependence of the width of spectral holes in the crystalline and glassy phase of bcnzophenone:chlorin solid solutions is measured between 1.5 and 10 K. In the crystal, the holewidth levels on r(O) ~45 MHz for T-C 5 K. This is close to the lifetime-limited value. For T> 5 K, it exhibi

A method to measure the amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) content of plasma sprayed hydroxyapatite (HA) coatings is presented. The areas of the crystalline peaks and the broad amorphous "hump" in an X-ray diffraction scan of a mixture of crystalline and amorphous HA can be fitted using conventional
