5 STARS! Chroma continues to fascinate, making readers anxious for the final book in the trilogy to be published, and hopeful that like Mr Anthony's previous "trilogies" it becomes something longer. Changelings don't only attract fellow characters, they draw the readers to themselves as well. βAmanda Killgore, Scribes World
A new highlight in my library! I didn't know Piers Anthony was even writing this series of books but when I found the first book in the series and read it, I had to have the second. After having finished the second, I can't wait for the third. The characters develop before your eyes and you need to know what is going to happen next. It is one suprise after another to keep you guessing. If you love to read Piers Anthony books, this series is a must read. βJames M. Consugar, February 2004
Those familiar with Piers Anthony probably know the name; those really familiar with his work might even have the first novel in the three (or five) book series. I've got both the first and second, and can hardly wait for the third. The book is constructed well, in my opinion. There's the familiar Anthony method of letting each chapter focus on a person or group of peopleβbut in many of the chapters are substories that expand upon the world of Charm, as well as reveal more about the characters of the novel. They'd also make pretty nice short stories on their own. Piers's humor is still quite evident in this novel. While it's not a comedyβfar from itβhis humor still shines through. One character, who hails from the Invisible Chroma, is known as Jamais Vu. For those unfamiliar with French, this means "Never seen." In briefβyou should buy this book. I'm sure you'll be...Charmed. βDavid McGrath
