✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The Cl^35^ quadrupole resonance of polycrystalline Ca(ClO~3~)~2~ · 2 H~2~O is found to consist of two resonances of unequal intensities. The variation of the resonance frequencies with temperature is studied in the range 77 to 300 °K and the results are analysed on the basis of existing theories. The asymmetry parameter of the electric field gradient is found to be negligible.
