The reaction of guanines and some of their derivatives" with thionyl chloride inhexamethylphosphorustriamide was investigated. 9-and 7-(2-Chloroethoxymethyl) guanines were O,nthesized. The structure of the compounds' was confirmed by the UV and ESR spectra.
