✦ Synopsis
Composite films containing oxide, hydroxide and metal nanoparticles in a chitosan matrix were obtained by the combined cathodic electrodeposition method based on electrophoretic deposition of chitosan and electrosynthesis of inorganic nanoparticles. Obtained films were studied by X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning and atomic force microscopy, thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis. The deposition yield was investigated at various deposition conditions. The proposed method paves the way for the fabrication of nanocomposite films for biomedical applications.
