Abstract
Some optically active 2βalkylaziridines and their Nβmethyl derivatives have been prepared from the corresponding Lβamino acids. Both the ORD and the CD spectra of the aziridines have been determined. From these spectra it is concluded that a cis orientation of the lone pair of the nitrogen, relative to the 2βalkyl substituent, can be correlated with a negative Cotton effect in the 200 nm region.

## Abstract The large molecules **1**β**3** (69, 90, and 102 atoms, respectively), prepared by cyclotrimerization of enantiomerically pure derivatives of (β)βbornyl acetate, show intense ECD spectra, high optical rotation (OR) values (200β1300, in absolute value) dominated in sign and order of magn
