✦ Synopsis

I give a theoretical overview on chiral sum rules and their relation to r-physics. The discussion focuses on properties of the left-right correlation function HLR(Q 2) in QCD. I also review recent work on QCD at large-No and its relevance to chiral sum rules. *Invited talk given at the conference "TAU 98", Santander, Spain, September 1998.
