✦ Synopsis

Looking at the breakdown of domestic shipments by end-use sector, it is evident that none of the sectors showed improvement. Significant double-digit percentage drops were witnessed in TiO 2 shipments to the plastics, rubber and electroceramic markets. Shipments to Japanese paintmakers dropped by 7%. Shipments to other end-use sectors were not so badly affected.
