Some 1,3-benzodioxan analogs of chalcones and their epoxides have been obtained, and used to prepare pyrazolines and novel flavone and flavanone analogs of flavolignan (sylibin). The PMR spectra of novel compounds are shown and discussed, together with the results of preliminary biological tests. I
