✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The synthesis of diorganyl sulfides or selenides and thio‐ or selenoesters is based on the cleavage of diorganyl disulfides and diselenides by zinc dust under neutral conditions in short reaction times (2‐40 min) at room temperature in the presence of aryl/alkyl halogenides or acyl chlorides, correspondingly.
