Direct Access to Highly Functionalized 2,4-Cyclooctadienones by Intramolecular Interception of the Mesocyclic Dienolates.
-Reaction of dimethylsquarate with lithiated enecarbamates followed by addition of lithiated alkenes provides a new method for the synthesis of eight-membered ring ketones fused with one or two additional rings.
