✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A novel method for the synthesis of 1,2,4‐oxadiazol‐5‐ones (III) and (VI) is elaborated using an acylation reaction of amidoximes (I) and (IV) with TFAA or pentafluorobenzoyl chloride followed by a spontaneous C—C bond breaking with the release of fluoroform or pentafluorobenzene, respectively.
