Abstract

Title compounds (IV) and (VI) including the naturally occurring furanoterpene evodone (IVb) are synthesized by a radical cyclization reaction using titanocene(III) chloride, generated in situ from TiCl~2~(Cp)~2~ and zinc dust, as radical source.
