โฆ Synopsis
Titanium Incorporated ATS and AFI Type Aluminophosphate Molecular Sieves.
-Highly crystalline ATS-type magnesium titanium aluminophosphate, MTAPO-36, and two AFI-type titanium aluminophosphates, TAPO-5 (A) and TAPO-5 (B) molecular sieves are prepared by hydrothermal crystallization from specified gel compositions containing Pr3N as organic template, followed by calcination to remove this template. Characterization by XRD, SEM, BET, 27Al and 31P MAS NMR, XPS, and EXAFS reveals the presence of Ti and Mg and of Ti in the ATS and AFI AlPO frameworks, respectively. Both types of molecular sieves show substantial catalytic activity for the partial oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone with H2O2 in acetone. The activity increases with Ti content in the framework and is highest for TAPO-5 (B). -(AKOLEKAR, D.
