β¦ Synopsis
Thermal and Photochemical Reaction of Isoxazolone with Indole-2,3dione Derivatives.
-The thermal reaction of isatin derivatives (I) with isoxazolone (II) provides the adducts (III) and the spiro-products (IV), whilst photochemical reaction between (I) and (II) gives predominantly benzazepines (V) and isoxazolopyridines (VI). Possible reaction mechanisms are discussed.
